Deck Safety – 1HR Elective: Become familiar with deck components so you can recognize the difference between a safe deck & an unsafe deck.  How building codes & permits apply to decks including when a guard rail is required & what constitutes a safe guard rail.  A look into various deck materials & their properties, an overview of proper deck maintenance.
